at work today we noticed a strange high pitched metallic sound in one corner of the studio. it would start and stop seemingly at random. scott and discovered that it was coming from an old metal stand that used to house our daylight balanced viewing booth. it was sitting in just such a way that if anyone moved around on the platform adjacent to it, it would begin to vibrate and produce this sustained squeaky tone.

this first recording is of scott bouncing his knee up and down near the metal stand. the second recording is a piece i took from the field recording loaded into a sampler and played like an organ.
