I’m enjoying this; it’s peaceful. Thank you for sharing! How do you like your Zoom H4? I’ve contemplated one, but I think I’d rather get equipment for field recordings. Speaking of which, what do you use for your field recordings?

thanks Jack. the H4 is what i’ve been using for my field recordings. i like aspects of it a lot. it makes pretty great recordings both with the built in stereo mics and with the combo jacks that are on the bottom. it can take XLR or 1/4″. the thing i don’t like is the interface. all the menu interactions are pretty clunky and non-intuitive. navigation wise, it’s pretty much the exact opposite of something as well designed as an ipod
but it is “handy” and it does record… so i guess it lives up to it’s name.
