my first real project of the year actually began just before 2012 ended. i built a stereo hydrophone in order to do a bit of recording up at the lake cabin where we spent new year’s eve/day. it was a pretty quick diy job. i created it using a pair of piezo elements, a stainless steel tea container, an xlr cable and a lot of bee’s wax.
there wasn’t much activity under the water during this time of year, but i was still able to capture some bits of interest.
i will post some audio samples soon… maybe as part of a music piece.
